MEET OUR STAFF
Jason Masek MA, PT, ATC, CSCS, PRC
Staff Physical Therapist
Jason completed his degree in PT from Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center. He received his athletic training experience at The University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) and the University of Minnesota. Along with his role at the Hruska Clinic Jason serves as a biomechanical consultant to UNL through the Division of Athletic Medicine. Jason has had an extraordinary interest and devotion to the science of postural adaptations, asymmetrical patterns, and the influence of polyarticular chains of muscles on the human body as defined by the Postural Restoration Institute™.
Lori Thomsen MPT,PRC
Staff Physical Therapist
Postural Restoration®, the unique and integrative approach that is practiced at our clinic, is the only thing that helped me with my running injuries. Since overcoming my own injuries I have been excited to watch the science of PRI grow. I now try to share my passion of PRI through treating patients at the Hruska Clinic as well as teaching others the science of PRI as a faculty member of the Postural Restoration Institute.
David Drummer DPT, PRC
Staff Physical Therapist
One of the things that I think is great about working at the Hruska Clinic™ is that we don’t treat patients with a generic protocol for their pain. We develop a custom program for YOU. Some of my greatest moments as a physical therapist at the Hruska Clinic™, are when people come in that been “everywhere” to try and get better, and they respond by saying something like, “Finally, I have a reason for why I hurt”.
Torin Berge, MPT, PRC
Staff Physical Therapist
Torin has worked at the Hruska Clinic since 2011. He and his family moved to Lincoln from North Dakota for the opportunity to work at the Hruska Clinic. He strongly feels the methods that we use to treat patients here are the answers to the question to “why” people hurt. When we have a knowledge base of WHY someone hurts, we can better help them actually get better, not just cover up symptoms. Listen to his video to learn more about him.
Ann Simsar, DPT

She lives in Lincoln with her husband and 3! beautiful children.

Stacy
PRIME Patient Coordinator
Stacy will often be seen helping out at the front desk, but her primary role is to assist with managing, scheduling, and coordinating our PRIME program in terms of managing integration between disciplines, setting up schedules and coordinating care. Ron Hruska MPA, PT
Physical Therapist, Consultant, Founder Postural Restoration Institute
As the founder of the Hruska Clinic and Postural Restoration Institute Ron has had a presence in this clinic for over 20 years! While he no longer treats patients directly in the clinic and spends most of his time and energy growing the science of Postural Restoration he still will consult with the Hruska Clinic staff on an as needed basis. If you’re lucky you may just sneak a peek of him in the clinic from time to time.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?
PRC Center
The Hruska Clinic was the first clinic in the nation to be designated as a Postural Restoration Certified™ (PRC) Center. In addition all of the therapists at the Hruska Clinic have been or are in the process of being Certified as Postural Restoration Certified™ by the Postural Restoration Institute®.
The Hruska Clinic™ is a unique Physical Therapy clinic that offers physical therapy services that are based on the philosophic and integrative concepts of the Postural Restoration Institute® (PRI). The clinic was founded and directed by Ron Hruska in 1999 and has grown into the multidisciplinary center that it currently is. The science and techniques taught through the Postural Restoration Institute® were first developed for clinical care here at the Hruska Clinic™.
Our staff is made up of 5 full time therapists, 4 of which are certified through the Postural Restoration Institute®. All of our therapists are passionate about and committed to addressing functional limitations through the assessment of neuromuscular patterns and treatment using Postural Restoration® application, and interdisciplinary integration when necessary.
Along with being experts in the application of Postural Restoration® techniques and progression the staff is dedicated to maximizing patient outcomes in difficult cases through multidisciplinary care as case managers in the PRIME (Postural Restoration Integrated Multidisciplinary Engagement™) Program.
The staff is also passionate about teaching other health professionals on the clinical application of Postural Restoration® science. They have mentored other therapists and clinicians from around the world in regards to the clinical use and application of Postural Restoration Science. 2 of our therapists are on faculty with the Postural Restoration Institute® and one more has represented PRI at national level conferences. LOGO INSPIRATION

This distinctive trademark represents some of the most important linkage of regional muscular chains of the human body as well as the Hruska Clinic™’s strong belief in integrating patterned musculature to regain as much symmetry and normal anatomical position as possible, prior to surgery and after surgery, or as a preventative measure. We also look to maximize this symmetry with the help of complementary interdisciplinary treatment from dentists, podiatrists, other physical therapists, pulmonologists, chiropractors, optometrists, osteopaths, etc. The strong linkage of integrative interdisciplinary involvement in addition to the intense application of Postural Restoration Institute® (PRI) science and treatment standards, make this clinic’s experience and positive outcomes very unique.
When looking at the logo, you’ll see a very bold, darker line beginning at the top of the right side. This line reflects the strong pull of the right sternocleidomastoid muscle on the right cranial base and temporal bone, which is most often seen on the human body.
The superior cross-link reflects the cranio-cervical-thoracic muscular chains that can influence or may be influenced by the lower cross-linked muscular chains that reflect the thoracic-pelvic-femoral region. These chains are composed of many aligned and patterned muscles that cross many joints of the asymmetrical human. Thus, they are referred to as poly-articular chains and are necessary for postural stability, respiratory function, neurologic muscle tone and patterning and reflex regulation. They have a direct impact on gait, endurance, vision, speech, swallowing, strength, respiration and balance.
The darker line crosses through the sternum and around the thorax on the left side of the logo. These left abdominal muscles are usually weaker, mal-positioned and provide poor opposition to the diaphragm. Therefore this line is narrower than its counterpart.
Since the adductors and hamstrings of our right leg, the right abdominals, and the right low back musculature usually work harder than the left, because of human characteristic postural asymmetries, the dark, broad, and lowest line of the logo reflects this pattern. The Hruska Clinic™ utilizes Postural Restoration Institute® (PRI) manual and non-manual techniques to balance patterned muscle use and position of the pelvis, thorax and cranium.
All lines on the right side are fuller and wider to represent the dominance of these right sided chained or linked muscles. The right middle looped line is broader, more active as a postural stabilizer and reflects the human characteristic pattern of right sided dominant arm and leg use, as well as center of gravity orientation to the right.
