The updated 2021 Shoe list is out! A few changes in the shoes on the list but more importantly we hope to have helped the list be more helpful in guiding you towards the best shoe for you. Just because a shoe is on the list doesn’t mean its the best shoe for you. There are certain shoes that we utilize in the clinic for certain things. If you’ve struggled to find the right shoe or just tried every shoe on the list without any guidance, we hope this update helps you out.
Remember we look at shoes differently as a rehabilitation tool with PRI science driving our decisions. We are not picking our shoes for this list as the best running shoe, or the best hiking shoe etc. As always objective testing by a PRI trained practitioner should ultimately tell you which shoe is the best, if possible. The qualities of shoes outlined in the list should also carry over to other types of shoes. Hopefully this education piece is helpful to guide your shoe shopping outside of “running/rehab shoes.”
